"I narrate my YouTube videos with this. Tried recording my own voice for months but the quality was inconsistent. Picked a female American voice here, set the tone, and now I batch-produce narrations for the whole week in one sitting."
"The pacing and intonation are close to what I'd get from a mid-range voice actor. For self-published authors on a budget, this is more than good enough. I still hire real talent for premium projects, but this fills a real gap."
"I create listening exercises in multiple languages for my students. Having different voices for different characters in dialogues makes the practice feel more real. My students engage way more compared to the old robotic TTS I used."
"Use it for intros, outros, and sponsor reads when I'm traveling and can't record. The British male voice has this broadcast quality that fits my show's tone. Not a replacement for my real voice, but great in a pinch."
"We build corporate training modules. Hiring voice talent for 40 courses was out of budget. This handled it. We use different voices per module to keep learners engaged, and the turnaround went from weeks to hours."
"We publish audio versions of our articles. Readers appreciate having the option, and we don't have the staff to record everything manually. The AI voice is polished enough that readers don't complain."
Frequently Asked Questions
How natural do the voices actually sound?
They're surprisingly good — most people can't tell they're AI on first listen. The voices handle pacing, emphasis, and intonation naturally. You can preview every voice before spending credits to hear for yourself.
Can I listen to voices before I pick one?
Yes. Every voice has a preview button — click it and you'll hear a sample clip. No credits used. We'd rather you pick the right voice first than waste a credit on one you don't like.
How much text can I convert at once?
Up to 5,000 characters per conversion, which comes out to roughly 3–5 minutes of spoken audio. If you have something longer, just break it into chunks and combine the audio files afterwards.
What audio formats do I get?
We output in MP3 (at 44.1kHz) and PCM at various sample rates. MP3 works for most use cases — podcasts, videos, presentations. If you need raw uncompressed audio for professional editing, go with PCM.
How long does conversion take?
Usually 10–30 seconds for a typical paragraph. Longer texts take proportionally longer. Paid users skip the queue during busy hours.
Can I use the audio in my YouTube videos or podcast?
If you've purchased credits, yes — you get full commercial rights. Use the audio in YouTube videos, podcasts, courses, ads, client projects, whatever you need. Free-tier audio is for personal use only.
What about languages other than English?
We support multiple languages with native-sounding voices. The system detects the language automatically and adjusts pronunciation accordingly. English has the widest voice selection though.
How much does it cost?
New accounts get 10 free credits. Short texts cost just 1 credit. Longer texts scale based on length — roughly 1 credit per 150 characters. Credits are $1 for 10, bulk packs are cheaper. No subscription, no monthly fee.
Could I use this to make an audiobook?
People do! The 5,000-character limit means you'd need to convert chapter by chapter and stitch the files together, but the voice quality is solid enough for it. Several independent authors on our platform have published audiobooks this way.
What happens to my text after conversion?
It's deleted from our servers immediately after the audio is generated. We don't store your text, we don't read it, we don't use it for training. The only thing that leaves our server is the audio file you download.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes — it runs entirely in your browser, so it works on any device. Type or paste your text, pick a voice, generate, and download the audio right to your phone.
The pronunciation is wrong on some words — can I fix that?
Try spelling the word phonetically in your text. For example, if the AI mispronounces a name, write it the way it should sound. It's not a perfect fix for every case, but it works most of the time.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — if you're unhappy with the results, contact support within 7 days and we'll refund your credits. No hassle.
